What Are You Waiting For?
Series: Easter
We hate to wait. It’s just not something we typically enjoy in our fast paced western culture, particularly not in California. Most probably feel that waiting is nothing but a waste of time.
On Easter we celebrate the day the Lord Jesus Christ was raised from the dead and left the tomb empty. And, since that glorious day, we’ve been waiting… waiting for His return… waiting for the trumpet to sound and for Christ to descend with a shout and gather God’s children to Himself.
In this message, we're going to talk about waiting: 1) Waiting for the Wrong Thing; 2) Waiting for the Wrong Reason; 3) Waiting in the Right Way.
We need to actively wait as we anticipate our Lord’s return.

Apr 2, 2023When the Crowd Greeted the KingSeries: EasterAs we come up on Easter there is a critical question which has been asked and needs to be answered. It’s not a riddle, but it has been called a mystery. The answer to the question is vitally important, because it will directly impact a person’s future. It is a question Jesus asked His disciples, and it’s the same, unspoken question that people were faced with at a parade nearly 2000 years ago. Simply stated the question is, “Who is Jesus?”Luke’s account of Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem before His arrest and crucifixion shows us a variety of answers to the question, “Who is Jesus?” Let's consider the answers illustrated by the people who were there, how Jesus answers the question, and then talk about people’s answers today.Jesus is the King who came in peace & will come again in power.Luke 19:28-44Palm SundayApr. 2, 2023To watch the video of this message, click here.

Apr 17, 2022Paid in FullSeries: EasterIn this message we’re going to take a sweeping look at Jesus’ final few days on earth. There are 3 things that stand out as Jesus approached the events of the crucifixion. We see that Jesus 1) Equipped & Prepared – He trained His disciples and prepared them for what He was going to do. When it came time, He 2) Engaged the Problem – He met it head on, laying down His life to save ours. And, once He was in the fight, He 3) Executed the Plan – He stuck to the plan as His Father had given it to Him.Jesus died for your sins and rose again to offer you eternal life with Him.April 17, 2022Mark 14-16 - Easter SundayTo watch the video of this message, click here.
- Apr 10, 2022Extravagant Love
Apr 10, 2022Extravagant LoveSeries: EasterThe Bible is full of verses in which God assures us that He loves us. He shows us His love by what He says, by what He has done, and by the time He offers to spend with us. What is our response? How do we love God in return? Do we tell Him? Do we do things to show Him? Do we make a priority out of spending time with Him?In Mark 14:3-9 we see one woman’s amazing expression of love toward Jesus. This extravagant love is met with two different reactions on the parts of those who witnessed it. First we see an antagonistic evaluation of love by those nearby. But, then we see Jesus accept and endorse this love.We should love our Lord without limits.Mark 14:3-9April 10, 2022 - Palm SundayTo watch the video of this message, click here.
